Just a Little Longer

A woman in a bath, arms folded on the rim, chin on her arms, looking out at the viewer from a wall of green tiles. The whole painting is built from greens, the water, the tiles, the shadow, with the figure's skin as the only warm thing in it. Rosie painted it while recovering from surgery, and the title is the thought of staying in the water until it goes cold rather than getting out and getting on. It is a study made from a photograph by Zac Nirvana, with his permission, which we say here because we would rather you knew than found out. It is Rosie's favourite thing she has made; she has looked at it every day for eight months. Oil on paper, so it should be framed behind glass, and we can arrange that.
